The historic world champion with the French national team in 1998, Emmanuel Petit, explained the unexpected reason for his arrival at FC Barcelona and how that decision influenced his professional career
Emmanuel Petit had a fleeting step by the FC Barcelona, contesting so only a season with the picture culé (38 commitments), in which only it attained to annotate a goal and remained clear that did not go his best stage futbolística. The reason by which Emmanuel Petit decided to go to the FC Barcelona
In an interview in the pódcast 'Stadium Star', the French left clear the reasons of his arrival to the FC Barcelona: "I Left the Arsenal by a woman". In this case, the woman in question is the actress Agathe of the Fontaine, with the one who married in 2000 and of the one who divorced in 2002. In this sense, the defender expressed his arrepentimiento by this decision: "Always they liked the F.C. Barcelona and the Real Madrid, two of the biggest clubs of the world. But it would have to have me remained in the Arsenal, definitively".
To close, after reaffirming his arrepentimiento by his decision, expressed how would have avoided to join to the cast culé. "Already you know, sometimes the grass is not greener in other places. It is better to remain where one is when it receives love, happiness and succeeds. If it could retreat the time, probably would take a different decision", concluded.
