Finally, Kylian Mbappé's adventure with Real Madrid has begun. The former Paris Saint-Germain player, for various reasons, had not been able to complete his first training session with the Merengue team. It was only this Thursday, August 8th, that 'Donatello' was able to work regularly with his teammates at Valdebebas under the guidance of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.
It's worth noting that last Wednesday, the forward had the opportunity to be at the club's facilities along with other internationals who were also on vacation due to their participation in the Euro and Copa America, such as Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Fede Valverde, Jude Bellingham, and Dani Carvajal. Now, on this Thursday's practice session, 'La Tortuga' returned to the field with the same small group of internationals and some youth players, as the majority of the Real Madrid squad was enjoying a day off after concluding the 2024-25 pre-season tour in the United States. It won't be until Friday, August 9th when 'Carletto' can work with all his assets for the first time.
What did this Merengue work session consist of?
This Thursday, during the training session on the field, Kylian left quite an interesting impression. Mbappé, along with the rest of the White troop, participated in an activation session and then continued with passing drills. Subsequently, they did possession and ball pressure exercises, as well as various small-sided games. Finally, the day ended with running drills following Pintus's instructions.
