THE CULÉ TEAM WILL PLAY 5 GAMES
FC Barcelona's schedule for the month of September: 4 La Liga matches and 1 Champions League match
Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona already knows its match schedule for the month of September, where they will make their debut in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League season and will play four LaLiga matches
It promises to be a month of September full of emotions for Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona. In the next four weeks, the culé team will play five games, one of them the debut in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League season and another four matches in the Spanish tournament, where they will seek to continue adding three points to stay at the top of LaLiga. Only one of these 5 commitments will be at home and all the action will be concentrated in 14 days.
Barcelona will go for revenge against Girona
As a preview of what will be the debut in the Champions League, Barça will travel to Montivili to face Girona in the first game after the international break. It will be on Sunday, September 15 from 4:15 p.m. (Spanish time) where the LaLiga leader will seek revenge against Míchel's team. Let's remember that the culers lost both their games against the Girona team last season, so they will go for revenge and to keep their winning streak intact.
Champions League debut against Monaco
In their debut in the 2024/25 season of the European national team tournament, Barcelona will travel to Monaco for their first match of the league phase scheduled for Thursday, September 19 from 9:00 p.m. (Spanish time) at the Luis II Stadium. They faced this rival in the last edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy where they fell by a score of 0-3. In the Champions League the story could be different and they will have to add three from the start.
A complex match against Villarreal
In the same week they will face Villarreal. This match is very complicated because it will be at the Estadio de la Cerámica, one of the strongest in all of LaLiga and this 'yellow submarine' has reinforced itself very well this campaign so anything could happen. The match, so far, will be on Sunday 22nd September (time to be confirmed).
The only match in Montjuïc will be against Getafe
After the visit to Villarreal we will experience the only home match of Hansi Flick's team in the month. Matchday 7 will be midweek and Getafe will be received at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc. So far the venue has seen two victories, the first being the 2-1 against Athletic Club and the 7-0 win against Valladolid. The match will be on 25th September (time to be confirmed).
Osasuna closes the month of September for Barça
The matches of the month of September will end in Pamplona against Osasuna. This will be the first time that the Blaugrana club plays against a team that changed coach in the summer. Vicente Moreno will be the one who will try to win at home next Sunday 29th September with times yet to be confirmed. Without a doubt, it will be a very busy month for the Catalans, which is expected to be a great success.
