FC Barcelona, thanks to Hansi Flick, would already have a plan prepared to face the end of the year 2024, considering the respective breaks for Christmas and New Year's Eve

Calendar of FC Barcelona

As we approach the last month of the year, December, there is a period where, due to the numerous celebrations taking place, the professional activities of footballers and various sectors tend to unfold differently. During this time, there is ample space for relaxation and recreation due to the various festivities, although sporting activities do not take a back seat, they might be slightly overshadowed compared to the rest of the year.

However, this does not mean that sporting activities come to a complete halt. In fact, recently on the sports portal 'AS', a schedule that FC Barcelona will follow to continue their professional activities during the holiday season has been revealed. This roadmap has been meticulously crafted by Hansi Flick, a coach known for his meticulous approach to team operations.

The itinerary FC Barcelona will follow towards the end of 2024

According to the mentioned source, the Blaugrana team already has a set program that will commence from December 22, which is when the last match of LaLiga EA Sports in 2024 will be played, taking place at Montjuïc against Atlético de Madrid in a match corresponding to round 18 of the local tournament. After this encounter, the Culé squad will have free time until December 30.

Following a week of celebration, Barcelona will return to training on Monday, December 30, with a double training session scheduled. There will be only one training session on December 31, which will be the last one of the year, as January 1 will be considered a holiday with no training session.

And the beginning of 2025?

Starting from January 2, Barcelona will definitively resume their activities to prepare for the year 2025. In the early days of the new year, the Culé team will face their first Copa del Rey 2024-25 match, between January 4 and 5, in the round of 32 against an as-yet-undetermined opponent.

Following this match, on January 8, Barcelona will play against Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal, to be held in Riyadh after a planned trip on January 6. This will be the closest football activity for Barça at the start of 2025, followed by a potential match on January 12 in case of reaching the final of the Spanish Super Cup, facing the winner of the tie between Real Madrid and RCD Mallorca.
