FC Barcelona drew against Betis (1-1) and remains unbeaten in 2025 after 22 matches

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona continues to be undefeated in 2025. Since the loss at home to Atlético (1-2) in the last match of 2024, 105 days have passed without Hansi Flick's team losing an official match. After Saturday's draw against Betis (1-1), the record in the last 22 matches is 18 wins and 4 draws, a couple of them in La Liga, another in the Champions League, and the remaining one in the Copa del Rey.

Besides Betis, Getafe (1-1), Atalanta (2-2), and Atlético (4-4) were the only teams able to avoid a loss against the azulgrana team. Interestingly, three of those draws occurred in Montjuïc, although Saturday's was the first at home in La Liga this season. Now, the culés are setting their sights on the match next Wednesday, for the first leg of the Champions quarter-finals.

Once again, they will face a Borussia Dortmund that Barça already defeated in the group stage, in Germany (2-3). The team now managed by Niko Kovac thrashed Freiburg away (1-4) this Saturday, but remains far from the top of the Bundesliga standings. Eliminated in the Pokal (German cup), the 'black and yellows' are betting everything on going as far as possible in the Champions League to try to save the season. However, they remain a formidable opponent, the current runner-up of the tournament.

Hansi Flick, satisfied with the performance of his Barça

After the draw against Betis, Hansi Flick evaluated the performance of his players, beyond the setback at home. "I think we are managing fatigue well. The team is good, in shape... I believe we are in a good moment. We recover well, we manage it well, and the workload in training is not very high," he began saying regarding the schedule.

In that sense, he reiterated the importance of keeping the players mentally focused on each challenge. "I told them that I am happy with the second half, we gave it our all. We worked hard to earn this point. But in the others, too. And that is what I love about my players", he pointed out regarding the physical condition of his players.

With the cup final, Barça will play eight matches this April. If they advance past the tie against Borussia Dortmund, another match will have to be added to the 'tourmalet' of the penultimate month of the season: the first leg of the Champions semi-finals. Bayern Munich or Inter Milan will be the culés' rivals in the last stage before the final in Munich.
