Hansi Flick's Barça has scored 37 goals in 12 matches in the 24-25 Champions League. The team is already in the semi-finals and can break another historic record. Find out what it is!
FC Barcelona is already in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League thanks to a spectacular offensive performance. In 12 matches, the team led by Hansi Flick has scored 37 goals in favor, which translates into an impressive average of 3.08 goals per match. The other club classified to 'semis', Paris Saint-Germain, accumulates 30 goals scored, but with 2 more matches than the 'culés'.
Luis Enrique's team only scored 14 goals in their 8 league phase matches, but took advantage of the repechage against Brest (10-0 on aggregate) to inflate their records. In the round of 16, they only scored one goal against Liverpool in a tie resolved in the penalty shootout, while against Aston Villa, in the quarterfinals, the key closed 5-4 in favor of the French.
Barça has 18 consecutive Champions League matches scoring
Barça, on the other hand, was the highest scoring team in the league, with 28 goals. Only Borussia Dortmund (22) came close to the 'azulgrana' offensive production. In fact, the Germans said goodbye with a total of 31 goals in 14 matches, 1 more than PSG thanks to the dispute of the 'play-off' against Sporting CP (3-0 on aggregate). Against Lille (3-2) and Barça (3-5), the 'negriamarillo' team maintained its average of 3 goals per tie.
Flick's team, for their part, scored 4 against Benfica in the two matches of the round of 16 and 5 against Borussia, 4 of them in the thrashing in Montjuïc that left the tie practically closed from the first leg. This is how Barcelona has managed to score at least 1 goal in its 12 matches and accumulates 18 consecutive Champions League matches scoring.
The last time the 'culés' failed to score in a match of the tournament was on matchday 4 of the group stage of last season, in the defeat by the minimum against Shakhtar (1-0), a match played on November 7, 2023 in Hamburg.
Flick's Barça is 8 goals away from equaling its record of goals in the Champions League

In that sense, the team led by Hansi Flick keeps alive the possibility of equaling its record of goals in the Champions League. In 1999-00, the team led by Luis van Gaal (until mid-season) and Lorenzo Serra Ferrer reached the semi-finals of the tournament scoring a total of 45 goals in 16 matches (2.81 per match).
At that time two group phases of 6 matchdays each were played before the quarter-final and semi-final ties. In the first group phase, the 'culés' faced AIK Solna, Fiorentina and Arsenal. The Catalans were leaders with 4 wins and 2 draws, scoring 19 goals. In the second league, the team sustained a similar performance.
Barça added 5 wins and 1 draw against Porto, Sparta Prague and Hertha Berlin where they scored another 17 goals. In the quarterfinals, the 'azulgrana' team surpassed Chelsea by an aggregate of 6-4 (in extra time), but in 'semis' they failed to surpass Valencia, falling by an aggregate of 5-3 after a tough thrashing in the first leg in Mestalla (4-1).
