Calendar of FC Barcelona

The first half of the fifth matchday of the 2024/25 Champions League ended with several surprise results and real shocks in the standings. In the key Barça, the Blaugrana team took a brutal step forward with their resounding victory against Brest (3-0), which allows Hansi Flick's team to climb to second position in the standings.

The top of the table has Inter Milan as the only leader with 13 points. Simone Inzaghi's team beat RB Leipzig by the minimum (4-0) and remain undefeated, while Liverpool dropped to third position as they will play their match against Real Madrid this Wednesday. For its part, Atalanta is already fourth after 'crushing' Young Boys (1-6).

Leverkusen moved up to fifth place after beating RB Salzburg (5-0), while Monaco is sixth awaiting its match with Benfica. Arsenal are now seventh after 'crushing' Sporting CP (1-5), who dropped to eighth place after this defeat and complete, for the moment, the direct qualification places for the round of 16.

Manchester City 'falls' in the table

Further down, in 9th place, is Brest and, behind the Italians, already in the 'play off' zone, appears Borussia Dortmund whose match against Dinamo Zagreb will be played this Wednesday, Bayern (11) after beating PSG 1-0 and Aston Villa (12), who will play on November 27. With their thrashing of Sparta Prague (0-6), Atlético de Madrid is now 13th, and Milan moved up to 14th place after beating Slovan Bratislava (2-3).

Manchester City (15) are next, who surprisingly drew 3-3 against Feyenoord (20), Juventus (16), Lille (17), Celtic (18) and Dinamo Zagreb (19) with their pending matches to be played. The play-offs are closed by Real Madrid (21), who will visit Anfield Road this Wednesday, Benfica (22), Club Brugge (23) and PSV (24).

Finally, out of the classification, for now, are Stuttgart, PSG, Shahktar, Sparta Prague, Girona, RB Salzburg, Bologna, Sturm Graz, RB Leipzig, Red Star, Slovan Bratislava and Young Boys. Matchday 5 ends this coming Wednesday, November 27, with the remaining 9 matches.
