Lamine Yamal made his debut as a scorer in the UEFA Champions League this Thursday against Monaco. The '19' converted the partial 1-1 in the 28th minute when Hansi Flick's team suffered in the Principality due to the expulsion of Eric García
This Thursday, FC Barcelona celebrated Lamine Yamal's first goal in the UEFA Champions League, in the eleventh match in the tournament played by Esplugues de Llobregat. The '19' scored a high-quality goal in the 28th minute after leaving two rivals scattered, taking advantage of a long pass from Marc Casadó where, in the absence of a teammate to associate with, he chose to resolve a play that seemed inconsequential himself.
Lamine, very cocky as usual, approached Vanderson when he perceived Casadó's long pass. The Monaco full-back fell spectacularly after slight contact with the culé youth player, who took advantage of the space to dribble towards his left foot. Despite the pressure from Salisu, the youth maintained control of the ball until he hit a powerful low shot, impossible for goalkeeper Köhn.

Lamine could not break the precocity record in the Champions League
The winger scored his first goal in Europe at 17 years and 68 days old. Although he will not surpass Ansu Fati's precocity record (17 years and 40 days in 2019, against Inter), his goal came at a key moment for Barça, with the team lost on the field after the early expulsion of Eric García and a Monaco grown after the great goal scored by Maghnes Akliouche in the 16th minute.
After the tie, Barça improved as the minutes passed, although Monaco worried Ter Stegen's goal on a couple of occasions before the break. As against Girona, Yamal's cunning and punch appeared at the right moment to unlock a complex match for the culés. In the Principality, yes, the panorama was much darker than last Sunday in Montilivi, with the ghosts of last season's quarterfinal match against PSG haunting the team.
