The 36 teams qualified for the Champions League 2024-25 league phase are divided into 4 pots (A, B, C and D) and each pot is made up of 9 clubs. Now, an automated draw will be responsible for pairing each team with two others from each pot, giving rise to a total of eight matches against different teams (four home games and four away games) and a single overall classification.

Automated matchmaking has 2 restrictions:
- They can not confront clubs of the same country/ties
The restriction that prevents to confront to teams of the same country descarta like rivals of the Barça to the others three Spanish teams: Real Madrid (Bass drum 1), Atletico Madrid (Bass drum 2) and Girona (Bass drum 4).
- Only it will be able to have a maximum of two opponents that are of the same country/ties
