FC Barcelona beat Bayern Munich in Montjuïc (4-1) on a historic night for several reasons for the club and, especially, for Raphinha. The Brazilian took the ball home, along with a couple of records

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Raphinha had his best night as a FC Barcelona player on Wednesday against Bayern Munich (4-1). The winger celebrated his 100th official match for the club in style, once again wearing the captain's armband and leading the relentless Barça attack with a hat-trick.

In that sense, the night was great for '11' for several reasons. In addition to reaching 100 games with Barça (Koundé had done it on Sunday against Sevilla), the Brazilian entered Barça history by scoring the partial 1-0 at 57 seconds.

With this, the winger became the third fastest player to score in a Champions League match. Only the Dutchman Mark van Bommel, in 2005 (he scored against Panathinaikos at 40 seconds) and the Brazilian Sonny Anderson, in 1998 (he scored against Manchester United at 51 seconds) surpass what Raphinha did against the Bavarian team.

Raphinha joins a select list of 'executioners' for Bayern Munich

In addition, Raphinha also made history with his hat-trick against Bayern to enter the Bavarian team's list of 'executioners' in Europe. The culé winger is only the fourth footballer to score a hat-trick for the Munich team in the Champions League and the fifth in European competitions in general, according to data shared by Alexis Martín Tamayo, 'Mister Chip'.

The first to achieve this feat in the Champions League was the Dutchman Roy Makaay, who did it with Deportivo de La Coruña in the group stage of 2002/03 (Galician triumph 2-3). 12 years later, in 2014, former culé Sergio Agüero did the same with Manchester City ('sky blue' victory 3-2).

The last to score in triplicate against the Bavarians, in the Champions League, was Cristiano Ronaldo, in the second leg of the 2016/17 quarterfinals ('merengue' 4-2 triumph in extra time). Previously, the first to score three goals against Bayern was Alun Evans in 1971 with Liverpool (in the UEFA Cup, now the Europa League).
