Atlético de Madrid - FC Barcelona: Confirmed Lineups - Copa del Rey 24/25

OFFICIAL: The starting lineups of FC Barcelona under Hansi Flick and Atlético de Madrid under Diego Simeone for the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals 2024/25 are now confirmed. Barcelona has two key returns in their starting lineup for today's match against Atleti:

In an effort to secure their place in the tournament's grand final, Hansi Flick has gone 'all in', although he included two surprises in his XI. Pau Cubarsí will partner with  Iñigo Martínez in central defense, while Fermín López will be in the midfield alongside Pedri and Frenkie de Jong. Raphinha, for his part, returns to the starting eleven and Ferran Torres will take the place of Lewandowski in the attack. The rest of the lineup will consist of the coach's 'untouchables'.

FC Barcelona Lineup

• Starting XI: Szczesny (G); Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Balde; Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Fermín López; Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Ferran Torres.
• Bench: Iñaki Peña (G); Araujo; Gavi; Lewandowski; Ansu Fati; Pablo Torre; Pau Víctor; Eric García; Kochen (G); Héctor Fort; Gerard Martín.
• Injured: Ter Stegen; Marc Bernal; Andreas Christensen; Marc Casadó; Dani Olmo.
• Suspended: None.

Significant changes in the eleven that played against Girona on matchday 29 of LaLiga:

1. Pau Cubarsí will form a central duo with Iñigo Martínez, Ronald Araujo is on the bench.
2. Alejandro Balde returns to left-back.
3. Frenkie de Jong takes the place of Eric García in the pivot.
4. Fermín López replaces Gavi in the attacking midfield.
5. Raphinha returns to the left wing.
6. Ferran Torres will be the '9' of the team at the expense of Lewandowski.

After being absent in the matches against Osasuna and Girona, Pau Cubarsí and Raphinha will be available to the coach this Wednesday. The German confirmed in the pre-match press conference that both players have successfully recovered from their respective physical setbacks, so they are ready to start.

• Ter Stegen, Christensen, Marc Casadó, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal are out due to long-term injuries.

Flick has come out with all his guns to accompany Real Madrid in the Copa final, although with a couple of changes in his lineup. Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez will form a central duo, while Fermín López will act as an attacking midfielder and accompany Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in the midfield. Finally, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres make up the offensive trident. Out due to injury are Ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen, Marc Casadó, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal.
