The visit of FC Barcelona to UD Barbastro may not have Blaugrana fans in Huesca. The Huesca team claims that Barça barely requested 65 paid tickets for the Cup match
The management of UD Barbastro does not seem willing to grant FC Barcelona any facilities to obtain tickets for the match that both teams will play on January 4. According to 'SPORT', the Huesca team claims that Barça only requested some tickets for its members and 65 more for fans, even though this is a match that many Blaugrana supporters would like to attend.
The Municipal Sports Stadium of Barbastro, venue for the match, will have a capacity close to 4,700 spectators for the round of 16 match of the Copa del Rey. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) does not establish a specific percentage of tickets allocated for visiting teams, but does set the protocol for requests from visiting clubs.
Barça has not yet made tickets available for the Cup debut
For now, the official website of Barcelona does not have tickets available for the visit to Barbastro, unlike the league matches against Betis and Mallorca, where the culés had about 600 tickets allocated per match. In this regard, the position of the Office of Attention to the Barcelonista (OAB) has been clear in response to the questions from hundreds of culé fans interested in traveling to the Cup debut.
"We will not have tickets for the Barbastro - FC Barcelona match. All ticket sales for this match are managed by the host club", explained the OAB. Hence, the 65 tickets mentioned by the Huesca management will clearly not be for sale and will be distributed among the culé members, awaiting the official statement from the Blaugrana team. Thus, Hansi Flick's Barça will face, for the second consecutive year, a tough atmosphere in Huesca.
