The substitution of Ronald Araújo has been one of the great novelties of the initial line-up of FC Barcelona to face Galatasaray: Is Xavi calling him the intention for 'refusing' to renew?
Rain of 'messages' in Can Barça. Xavi Hernández left in the bench to Ronald Araújo for the big final in Istanbul of the culés in front of the Galatasaray, in the turn of the eighth of final of the Europe League. Eric García was the attendant to share with Gerard Hammered in the centre of the defence, although the Uruguayan came being a fixed in the eleven.
The charrúa came being indisputable, but his 'problems' in the exit of balloon could have 'forced' to Xavi Hernández to opt by Eric García. In press conference, the trainer egarense had commented that "we find us in the gone that the central had to divide and arrive a lot to the medullary and Eric and Gerard are more qualified for this. Ronald gives you other things. In spite of this, does not change at all the style of game. We go to do the same that what would do with the others that remain was"... Or there is something more behind his suplencia?
It is necessary to remember that the FC Barcelona carries quite time trying concretise the extension of the agreement of Ronald Araújo, which wins on 30 June 2023. It is one of the big priorities of the entity chaired by Joan Laporta, but up to now the central charrúa has declined the offers that the culés have put him on the table and has left a quite clear message.... It could have been a touch of attention of the egarense?
Araújo himself Played against the 'Galata'
In the second part, and in front of the injury of Sergiño Dest, Xavi Hernández had to throw of Ronald Araújo to reinforce the right side, remembering that it was the only option (in addition to a 'questioned' Oscar Mingueza) because Dani Alves is not inscribed in the Europe League. The charrúa, as it accustoms, was hit and showing that it is a key player for the Barça.
Eric García, by his part, had a performance very little stood out and is unlikely that repeat titularity against the Real Madrid the weekend. Araújo Will be key to give him control and solidity to the team in defence, something that the Catalan (in spite of his good exit of balloon) does not contribute.
