Real Madrid confirmed this Tuesday the loss, due to injury, of Eduardo Camavinga. The midfielder suffered a blow with his teammate Aurelién Tchouaméni and was left out of the squad for the European Super Cup final against Atalanta
Eduardo Camavinga set off the alarm this Tuesday at Real Madrid after suffering an injury to his left knee in the last training session before the final of the 2024 European Super Cup, where Carlo Ancelotti's men will face Atalanta. The midfielder limped out of the National Stadium in Warsaw after a strong collision with his compatriot Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The '12' tried to avoid his teammate with a pirouette, but he made a bad move and ended up twisting his left knee. Madrid immediately confirmed his absence for the duel in Poland, as a preventive measure against what, at first, seemed like a serious injury for the man from Cabinda. At the moment, Eduardo is the only confirmed loss in the 'merengues' to face the Bergamasco team.

Madrid rules out a serious injury to Camavinga, for now
Although the first images anticipated a serious injury to the left knee for the 21-year-old midfielder, preliminary tests ruled out a break or other serious complication. Initially, Camavinga suffers a sprain that will keep him out for several days. Most likely, he will not be available for the LaLiga debut next Sunday in Mallorca either.
The midfielder's foot got stuck in the grass before colliding with Tchouaméni, who luckily managed to lift his right leg to avoid hitting him fully. The '12' left the field with visible signs of pain, but walking under his own power. More tests will be performed on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury and his time out. With this, Ancelotti loses an important piece for the duel against Atalanta, where Madrid will seek to become the top winner of the European Super Cup with six titles. For now, the 'merengues' are tied with Barça and Milan (each with 5).
