UEFA approves minute's silence requested by Barça for Carles Miñarro

It is important to mention that the match against CA Osasuna in LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25 was suspended precisely due to the severe emotional impact caused by this news on the culé squad. This happened shortly before the start of the match against the Navarrese team.

UEFA's response to this request from the Blaugrana club was affirmative

For instance, last week, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin granted permission for a minute of silence to be observed in the match between Real Madrid and Atlético, in memory of Javier Dorado, a former player of the Madrid team who sadly passed away at the age of 48 due to leukemia.

This approval by UEFA to carry out this symbolic gesture is the second display of flexibility shown by the European football governing body towards FC Barcelona following the death of Dr. Carles Miñarro. The other, as recently revealed, was that no player appeared at the pre-match press conference, deviating from the usual protocol, as only Hansi Flick faced the media in these difficult mourning moments.
