Bartomeu is again 'portrayed' because of 'Barçagate'

During years, the relate official spread by the FC Barcelona was the one to deny have commissioned the creation of accounts in the social networks to protect the reputation of the club and of the ancient president Josep Maria Bartomeu. Desde the first moment in which it jumped the news of the 'Barçagate' in the 'Chain BE', the managers of the entity blaugrana did strong defending only the contracting of a monitoring of networks and denying categorically know the intervention in them with the publication of messages directed.

It denied it Bartomeu in interviews and denied it the spokesman and the boss of the juridical services of the club in a press conference in July of 2020. However, after having analysed several devices during the judicial instruction of the case, the Mossos d'Esquadra certify that the Barcelona yes commission the creation of these accounts and the intervention in the networks.

In a report, the Catalan police exposes that, for the preparation of the audit that the club blaugrana presented after the scandal, manipulated documents, between the which is the real commission to the society Nicestream. "The work of PwC was conditioned by the documentation manufactured by the investigated, that manipulated the information that delivered to the company auditor", write the Mossos, that found in the device of Jaume Masferrer -the right hand of Bartomeu- a document with the real commission to the company and another with the pertinent modifications before delivering it to PwC, edited in 2020 and that afterwards the club made public.

The information, as it explains 'Goal.com', leaves to know that the original document of 2017 exposes the plan of work to twelve months, in which it includes the "creation of channels no official" and the "intervention, operation and CATHEDRAL", something that was "censored in the document sent to PwC". In fact, even it modified the subject of the supposed work: in the document edited, to who had to defend were to the FC Barcelona and to his president; in the real commission, only to Bartomeu.

Payments to journalists

Besides, the Mossos found messages in the mobile devices that would show that Bartomeu paid money to journalists so that they defended him and attacked to opositores: "before and as a result of the cancellation of the works with Nicestream, JM Bartomeu would have ordered payments to affine journalists, even falsifying bills. These journalists would act, as it will see in the messages located, to defend it to him and difamar rival candidates that presented to the elections of the FC Barcelona".

In this sense, the same president Bartomeu sent a writing to the jueza Alejandra Gil denying have paid to journalists and asking that the magistrate require to the Mossos "of immediate and urgent way" the proofs that have to certify the indictments formulated. "It is absolute and radically false", writes the lawyer of the ex-president, José María Fuster Fabra.
