FC Barcelona will play four LaLiga matches and one Champions League match in December. The Catalans will face Mallorca, Betis, Borussia Dortmund, Leganés and Atlético de Madrid
After a very difficult November in which they barely picked up 4 points out of a possible 12 in LaLiga, FC Barcelona will seek to close 2024 on a high note. The Catalans will play four games in the national championship and one in the Champions League, with the aim of finishing the month of December at the top of both competitions.
The team led by Hansi Flick arrives in December at a confusing time, because while in Europe they are a real 'steamroller' and are already in direct qualification positions for the round of 16, in Spain their present is more complicated, since they have gone three consecutive games without knowing victory.
However, the outlook for the last 31 days of the year is more encouraging, since the Catalans have recovered their depth with the returns of Ferran Torres and Eric García and have breathed again with the return of a Lamine Yamal who was injured in the first week of November. In addition, Ronald Araújo could rejoin the first team in the middle of this month.
Mallorca vs Barça and Betis vs Barça
The first match will be against Mallorca, on matchday 16 of LaLiga. The Blaugranas will visit Son Moix this Tuesday 3rd December (19:00), in a key match for the Catalans, who hope to change the dynamic and put an end to the bad run of results in an always complicated stadium.
Four days later, on Saturday 7th at 16:15, Barça will visit Benito Villamarín to face Real Betis on matchday 17 of the league championship. The Catalans hope to repeat the result of the last five clashes between the two and leave Seville with three essential points in their pocket.
