The IV Mundo Deportivo Gala pays tribute to the most influential players in women's football
Caroline Graham Hansen, one of FC Barcelona's most outstanding players, was awarded the MVP trophy at the IV European Women's Football Gala organised by Mundo Deportivo, a recognition that highlights her extraordinary contribution to women's football. Although the Norwegian was unable to attend the ceremony due to physical discomfort, her talent and dedication did not go unnoticed.
The event took place at the Old Estrella Damm Factory in Barcelona and brought together key figures in women's football. Despite the absence of Graham Hansen, the person in charge of women's football at Barça, Xavier Puig, collected the award. The club presented the award in her name, highlighting the importance of the player in the team and in global football. "Caroline is absolutely decisive for Barça and for the world of football in general," said Puig, emphasizing the relevance of her talent and commitment to the club.
Graham Hansen has been a key player for Barça in recent years, racking up goals, assists and countless praise for his ability to break down the right flank. She was also the team's top scorer in the Liga F last season, directly contributing to almost a third of the goals scored by the Blaugrana team.
On the other hand, Ingrid Engen, her teammate, was awarded the International Impact Award. Other Barça players were also recognised at the gala, such as Cata Coll, who received the trophy for excellence, and Kika Nazareth, who was awarded the award for best new player. In addition, awards were given to former player Marta Corredera for her career, and to Rasheedat Ajibade, who was recognized for her work against racism and for the empowerment of girls in Africa.
