FC Barcelona still has thousands of shirts in reserve that BLM manufactured as its own brand for 2024/25 at the beginning of the year, when the legal battle between the club and Nike aimed to definitively break the link with the American brand in force since 1998.

Although, finally, everything was resolved between the parties and Nike will dress Barça, at least, until 2038, the club still has the shirts and could use them to celebrate the 125th culé anniversary. According to the 'Barça Reservat' podcast on 'Catalunya Ràdio', the board could give the 133,164 Barça members this kit in the month of December.

The stock would easily cover all of the club's members, since Barça planned to put the shirts on sale in mid-June if, finally, the 'soap opera' with Nike was not resolved. Offers were also heard from brands such as Hummel or Puma, the latter willing to match the figures that the North American multinational finally agreed to pay.

This is the shirt that Barça would give to its members

Last May, a design of what would be Barça's starting shirt for 2024/25 manufactured by BLM was leaked. It was a very classic design, with three blue stripes and four grains on the front and another three stripes on the sleeves. The shirt would also have the club's old logo (used between 1975 and 2002).

Barça had also commissioned an alternative all-white design similar to the one Nike launched for the 2023/24 season as a second kit. The board selected a goalkeeper and three outfield players to carry out the first tests on the quality of the materials and construction, but finally the negotiations with the American brand came to fruition and, in mid-July, the design that Nike had prepared in 2024 for the current season.
