Ansu Fati's injury is starting to be a 'headache' for Barça. The forward continues to recover from his fascia problem, but the prognosis is quite uncertain and, with just over 20 days until the market closes, the player has no return date.
Ansu Fati received a hard blow in his intentions to once again have an important role at FC Barcelona. In his development, the player was taking on a more than interesting physical tone and was surprising Hansi Flick, until a new injury 'stopped' his progress in its tracks. Fortunately it has nothing to do with the knee that gave him so many problems, but the club reported that the setback suffered in the fascia would prevent him from traveling to the United States tour with the rest of the team and that "his evolution will mark the availability ", which, in this case, is more than justified.
The forward, who returned from his loan at Brighton, had made known his desire to do the preseason with the Blaugrana squad to earn a place in the new coach's plans. However, this unforeseen event has been a tremendous disappointment for both Barcelona fans and Ansu himself. The footballer has gone practically every day to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to work with physiotherapists and rehabilitation workers while the rest of his teammates were on American soil, but his return date is unknown.
Plantar fasciitis has an uncertain prognosis, contrary to injuries in places such as the biceps femoris or the ankle, where more or less precise recovery times can be established. Podiatrist Alejandro Bayo referred to this in a statement to 'SPORT', where he assured that "fasciitis does not have a prognosis, it is not known. It is not even three months, nor one or three weeks, it is very complex. It is not like a muscle tear in which one centimeter heals every week. Depending on the degree of injury, the important thing is to choose the best treatment at that moment, either more conservative or more invasive," he commented.
In the club there is the example of Iñigo Martínez, who went through the same 'ordeal' when he arrived in Barcelona. "The issue of the fascia is not like a tear. There you are stopped for a month or two and then you come back. I notice improvement and I am already doing something on the field alone. I have been like this for a year but I am improving," said the defender himself in his presentation with the culé entity after spending months in a 'via crucis' due to this physical inconvenience.
A 'headache' for Barça
Ansu's situation is starting to be a problem at Can Barça. The youth player has a difficult time finding a place in Flick's squad, even more so after the 'irruption' of Pau Víctor on the North American tour. Furthermore, his registration could be complicated due to the significant cap space occupied by the player. The Barça entity would be studying a new exit in the form of a loan for Fati, but there are only 20 days left on the market and his return remains an unknown. Time is running against the institution.
