Barça will wear the Coldplay logo at El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 27. The British band becomes the fifth artist to lend its logo to adorn the Barça kit
Barcelona Football Club has reached an agreement with the famous British band, Coldplay, to wear a special logo of the group (still to be defined) on the front of the Barça shirt in the Clásico against Real Madrid, which will take place on October 27 at the Santiago Bernabéu. The deal was closed in the last few hours and is part of the sponsorship agreement between the Catalan club and Spotify.
The idea of both the Swedish company and Barça is that the special kit that Hansi Flick's team will wear on Paseo de la Castellana will be put on sale in a limited amount, as reported by 'SPORT'. In this way, fans of the Blaugrana team and one of the most important bands in the history of pop and music will have the opportunity to acquire a unique piece in their style.
A relationship that dates back to the Guardiola era
Coldplay and Barcelona share a special bond. 'Viva la vida', the iconic song of the British, became the talisman of Pep Guardiola's Barça, who celebrated their titles with this song in the background while the squad danced around the center circle of the pitch. In fact, at the end of May 2023, the song resonated on the speakers of the Spotify Camp Nou as a farewell to the stadium before the start of the remodeling.
The fifth artist to adorn the Barça shirt
Once this alliance has been finalized, Coldplay becomes the fifth artist to lend their image to the agreement between the culés and Spotify. A line that has been successful and has been used in the last duels between the merengues and the azulgranas, both at the Spotify Camp Nou (also in Montjuïc), and at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Drake was the first musician to lend his logo to the Barça kit, an event that took place in the 3-1 defeat against the white team in the Clásico played in October 2022.
