Starting next week, the City Council allows 24-hour work at Spotify Camp Nou

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The City Council of Barcelona approved this Friday the request from FC Barcelona to resume 24-hour workdays at Spotify Camp Nou starting next week, specifically from Tuesday, March 25 to Monday, April 7.

The measure applies for four days over the span of two weeks. If high levels of acoustic and light pollution are not reported during that period, the deadline will be extended for more time, in order to make the most of each workday in the culé temple.

This is how the work will be carried out in the coming weeks at Camp Nou

Barça and the company Limak Construction are already aware of the requirements from the City Council, which had previously authorized 24-hour work from Monday to Friday, but exclusively inside the Stadium, minimizing noise in the area.

Additionally, work has been ongoing from the center of the field towards the Gol Nord grandstand until midnight, without using heavy machinery. In the case of work towards the Gol Sud, it was only permitted to work until 10:00 PM, always from Monday to Friday.

Likewise, on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), work can be carried out normally between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, without implementing the cement plant set up in the old Miniestadi, in order to avoid heavy load traffic towards Camp Nou.

Barça optimistic about the progress of the works at Camp Nou

The bad weather in recent weeks has not prevented workers from operating at full capacity, completing significant progress in the installation of the seats in the first two grandstands, as well as in clearing and preparing the playing area for the installation of the new grass.

Initially, Barça is already ready to close the season at Lluís Companys, but there remains a minimal possibility of playing the last two league matches in May, against Real Madrid (Sunday 11) and Athletic Club (Sunday 25) at Spotify Camp Nou, with a capacity of 65,000 spectators.
