This December 19 commemorates a truly historic date for the world of football, but especially for FC Barcelona and its fans. Why? On this date, 15 years ago, an unprecedented achievement was finalized: the legendary 'sextuple' of Pep Guardiola's Barça.

This honor was achieved after the azulgrana team was crowned champion in 2009 in LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa de España at the local level, and at the international level, it positioned itself as the monarch of the UEFA Champions League, the Supercopa de Europa, and the Club World Cup.

This date has been taken as an anniversary since on December 19, 2009, FC Barcelona sealed this magnificent achievement by being crowned champions of the Club World Cup after winning the final of that tournament.

The final of that tournament was held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, where Barcelona defeated Estudiantes de la Plata 2-1.
