Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will be included in Hansi Flick's squad for the Supercup despite not being registered. Their participation in the semifinals is uncertain
The FC Barcelona continues to work tirelessly to resolve the issues surrounding Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Starting next Tuesday, the Catalans will push to achieve the registration of both players and it is expected that the 'soap opera' will be resolved in a matter of days, with the hope that both attackers will be available to Hansi Flick, at least, for the final of the Supercup of Spain.
And despite not having a license, both players will be part of the Barça squad that will head to Saudi Arabia this Monday to compete in the national tournament. The club has decided to call up both players, and the opinion of the locker room has likely played a significant role, where they want them with the group and insist to the club that this issue be resolved as soon as possible.
Both Olmo and Víctor will travel to Jeddah with many more doubts than certainties regarding their future. The plan of Barça is to submit the request for precautionary measures for both to the CSD early in the morning on January 7, although it is unclear whether they will receive a response that same day. This situation would leave both players in the same position and they would not be able to play in the semifinal on Wednesday, although things could change if the culés manage to reach the final on Sunday.
Olmo and Víctor begin to worry
For now, both attackers are starting to become impatient and lose some confidence in light of the developments in recent days. At Can Barça, they have conveyed calmness and, although they expect a positive response from the CSD, they have communicated that they will go to court if there is no favorable resolution.
However, time is beginning to run against the club and there is a risk that they may end up not playing for a good part of January. As of today, the players' entourages have not made any market moves, although they are aware of the options they have if they are forced to leave the Catalan capital for the next six months. Despite this, everyone involved hopes that the 'soap opera' will have a happy ending.
