The percentages from future sales of several former Blaugranas could mean an income of more than 20 million euros for Barça next summer

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona has begun to reap the rewards of a key strategy from the sports management, which for the past couple of years has included percentages of future transfers in all sales of players from La Masia. In the last two transfer windows, the Catalans have earned nearly 65 million euros through this route, and next summer this figure could increase.

Several former Blaugrana players could be changing clubs at the end of the season, and their transfers would leave a 'slice' in the institution's coffers. The first of them will be Jean-Clair Todibo, as West Ham agreed to a mandatory purchase option with Nice at the end of his loan on June 30, and they must pay 20% of it, an amount that would be around 8 million euros.

Moreover, all signs point to Óscar Mingueza leaving Balaídos at the end of the season. The player was close to leaving Celta for Aston Villa this January, as the Villans were willing to pay his full clause of 20 million euros, and Barça would have received 50% of his transfer due to the percentage retained in the transfer to the Galician club. Although the operation did not go through, the defender's future could indeed change in the summer.

The other 'levers' of Barça

On the other hand, the loan of Estanis Pedrola from Sampdoria to Bologna includes a purchase option of four million euros, and if this is activated by the Emilia Romagna side, the Catalans would receive 2 million euros as they hold 50% of the player's future sale, plus the 3 'kilos' they already received from the Genoese club.

It is the same situation for Mika Mármol, who was close to heading to Roma for 10 million euros. Although the Wolves ruled out his signing at the last minute, the player is expected to make a move during the summer, which would tentatively leave Barça with 5 million in their coffers.

Finally, if Ilaix Moriba ends up being transferred after his 'rebirth' at Celta, the Catalans would retain 10% of the transaction for a player for whom RB Leipzig paid around 16 million euros. In total, more than 20 'kilos' could enter the club's accounts thanks to the great formula of Deco.
