FC Barcelona welcomes how one of its great elements, Ansu Fati, is already part of the training sessions, with his return to the team's official calls becoming closer and closer, foreseeably after the FIFA date

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Great news for FC Barcelona. Through their various social media channels, the Blaugrana team has shared a series of images showcasing one of the players who was on the injury list, engaging in a regular training session on the Tito Vilanova training field at the Joan Gamper Sports City.

This player is none other than Ansu Fati, who since July 24th, has been dealing with an injury to the sole of his right foot that kept him out of, among other things, the 2024/25 preseason under Hansi Flick's guidance, including the tour of the United States (Manchester City, Real Madrid, and AC Milan) and the subsequent match in the Joan Gamper Trophy against AS Monaco (0-3). Additionally, he missed the first four matches of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 (Valencia CF, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, and Real Valladolid).

The forward, who will once again have the opportunity to wear the Barcelona shirt as the club decided not to negotiate with him this summer, even had the great gesture of returning the iconic number 10 jersey. Recently, he participated in a morning training session with just a few first-team members: Iñaki Peña, Alejandro Balde, Iñigo Martínez, Eric García, Pablo Torre, Marc Casadó, Pau Víctor, and Raphinha. It is worth noting that most of the Blaugrana squad members are with their national teams for the September FIFA international break.

Ansu Fati's Return, Great News for Hansi Flick

At this moment, although he has not yet been medically cleared, Ansu Fati's return to training is extremely encouraging news for Hansi Flick. Despite the excellent performance of his attacking line both statistically and in terms of sensations, having a player like the one from Bissau in the squad will always be beneficial, especially if he regains his best form.

The talented forward, who can play on the left wing or as a center forward, had already made a positive impression before his injury. In fact, the German coach praised him at the time, stating that "he had been training really well, getting fit, and showed it on the field. We have to help him come back stronger."

Now, based on these new images that have emerged regarding the recovery of the Barcelona player, we will have to wait and see if he will finally be able to be included in his first call-up for the 2024/25 season. It could be in the fifth round match of LaLiga EA Sports against Girona on September 15, after the FIFA date. Or alternatively, considering the player's history of injuries and setbacks, as well as the necessary adjustment to the required pace of play, they may choose to delay his return to action a little longer.
