FC Barcelona - Betis: Confirmed lineups for the Copa del Rey match 24/25

OFFICIAL: The starting lineups for Hansi Flick's Barça and Manuel Pellegrini's Real Betis have now been confirmed for the round of 16 match of the 2024-2025 Copa del Rey.

FC Barcelona lineup

• Staring XI: Iñaki Peña (P);  Koundé, Pau Cubarsí, Araujo, Gerard Martín; Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Dani Olmo.
• Bench: Astralaga (P); Balde; Ferran Torres; Lewandowski; Pablo Torre; Fermín López; Casadó; Pau Víctor; Eric García; Kochen; Héctor Fort.
• Injured: Ter Stegen; Marc Bernal; Andreas Christensen; Iñigo Martínez.
• Sanctioned: Wojciech Szczesny.

Barça arrive in a state of grace after being crowned champions of the Spanish Super Cup in an overwhelming manner. The culés will seek the morale boost obtained after the 'thrashing' of Real Madrid to achieve a victory against an always difficult Betis and seal their qualification to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey for the third consecutive season.

However, Flick has decided to introduce several changes to his XI. Dani Olmo returns to the starting eleven and will do so replacing Robert Lewandowski up front, while Iñaki Peña is back in the starting eleven due to Szczesny's suspension. In addition, Ronald Araujo returns to the centre of defence following Iñigo Martínez's physical problems and Frenkie de Jong will do the same in midfield to give Marc Casadó a rest. Finally, Gerard Martín will start at left back in place of Balde. Ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen and Marc Bernal are also out due to injury and Ansu Fati is out due to a technical decision.
