CONFIRMED LINEUPS! These are the starting XI for FC Barcelona and Valencia for the matchday 21 of LaLiga
OFFICIAL: The starting line-ups for Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona and Carlos Corberán's Valencia have now been confirmed for the match on Matchday 21 of LaLiga 2024/25.
Pedri, Robert Lewandowski, Gavi and Ronald Araujo are the most significant absences from the starting eleven. The Canary Islander, out due to a last-minute indisposition, will be replaced by Frenkie de Jong in midfield, while Ferran Torres, Fermín López and Eric García will take the places of the Pole, the Andalusian and the Uruguayan in the line-up, with these three waiting for their chance from the bench. Szczesny remains the chosen one to protect the Barça goal.

Significant changes to the lineup that played against Benfica on Matchday 7 of the Champions League:
- Peña for Szczesny
- Eric García replaces Ronald Araujo in the centre of defence

Barça will be looking to shake off the setback suffered against Getafe (1-1) in the last matchday in an unbeatable context. Against one of their favourite victims and in front of their fans at Montjuïc, the Catalans hope to take advantage of Valencia's poor form to get their first home win since 3 November 2024 and add three points that will allow them to get back into the race for the LaLiga title.
For the duel against the Che team, Flick has decided to activate his rotation plan in order to give rest to those players who accumulate a significant amount of minutes in their legs. Robert Lewandowski will come off the bench and will be replaced by Ferran Torres, while Eric García will take Ronald Araujo's place in the centre of defence. For his part, Frenkie de Jong will replace Pedri, absent due to gastroenteritis, and Fermín López will replace Gavi in midfield. Ter Stegen, Iñigo Martínez, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal are out due to injury.
