Pablo Gavi's return with FC Barcelona could be getting closer and closer. As he is already training with the culé team, his return is beginning to be more imminent, but when will it be exactly? At FCBN we tell you the tentative date of the Andalusian's return

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona is increasingly optimistic about the return of Pablo Gaví to the playing field. The player from Los Palacios y Villafranca suffered a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the lateral meniscus on November 19, 2023. Following corrective surgery on November 28, he was given a lengthy recovery time of 12 months.

Fortunately for the Blaugrana team, almost 11 months later, Gaví's return is becoming more tangible. Why is that? Because Gaví is now in the final stages of his recovery and is participating in training sessions under the guidance of Hansi Flick with the group. However, he is not yet fully participating, but he is showing better performances on the field.

Now, with this in mind, the question that arises is: When will Gaví return to action with FC Barcelona? It remains a vague mystery, as the club does not want to rush the player's return to prevent a relapse of his injury. However, there are already some speculations emerging from various sources about when the Andalusian might return, and to the joy of the fans, that date might be sooner than expected.

When does FC Barcelona hope to have Pablo Gaví back?

As indicated in 'Mundo Deportivo', the sports planning at Barça considers that Gaví could return in a calm and comfortable environment for the player, with the possible matches being: either FC Barcelona vs. Sevilla (scheduled for October 20) and FC Barcelona vs. Espanyol (on November 3). A return that would coincide with the dates set by the Barcelona club, finishing in October and starting in November.

Furthermore, 'MD' also suggests another scenario where Gaví might return for the matches against Bayern Munich (October 23) and the Clásico against Real Madrid (October 27), matches where perhaps, due to the opponents, it may not align as well with the desire for a calm return that the Culés wish for the player.

However, given his importance and popularity among the fans, it is not ruled out that his return could occur in one of these matches. That would be a huge morale boost for a team that currently has few assets to strengthen its midfield.
