FC Barcelona is beginning to glimpse an encouraging outlook in relation to Lamine Yamal's injury and his return to activity on the field. At least he has already been able to join a training session with the rest of the team

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Good news for FC Barcelona. The blaugrana team has had a luxury addition to the training session held this Thursday: Lamine Yamal. The talented 17-year-old right winger has participated in a part of the work session with the group, and the outlook on his recovery from the injury is quite encouraging.

It should be remembered that Lamine Yamal has been injured since December 15. Following the conclusion of the match against CD Leganés (0-1) and the studies conducted by the club's Medical Services, it was determined that the player from Mataró had suffered a grade 1 sprain of the anterior tibiofibular ligament of the right ankle, with an estimated recovery time of three to four weeks.

Now, the fact that he has participated in part of the training session on Thursday is excellent news for Hansi Flick, who is beginning to view the possibility of having the right winger available for the 2025 Spanish Super Cup, which will take place on January 8 in Jeddah. His presence in the match against Athletic Club will clearly depend on his feelings during the week's training sessions, which will also determine his level of involvement in the game, whether as a starter or as a substitute.

It is not expected that Lamine Yamal will be able to participate in FC Barcelona's first match in 2025, which will be against UD Barbastro on Saturday, January 4, corresponding to the round of 16 of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey.

Héctor Fort and Andreas Christensen, other protagonists of the culé training session

On another note, during the training session, other players who had been dealing with physical discomfort were also present, such as Héctor Fort, who had been struggling with muscle discomfort (strained left hamstring) since December 20 and was able to participate in the training with his teammates. Also, Andreas Christensen was present and could receive medical clearance in the coming days.

Regarding updates, the training session featured one of La Masia's gems, the skilled left winger Dani Rodríguez. Additionally, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were also present, two players whose future at the club is uncertain due to controversy surrounding their registrations, but on this occasion, they completed the training session without any issues, awaiting what may come.
