This Thursday, Hansi Flick will not be able to count on Fermín López for Barça's Champions League debut. The player was injured again this week, just when he was in the final stretch of his recovery. The German coach has confessed in the press room that he is partly to blame and feels responsible for not avoiding his call-up to the under-21 team. These were his words:

"It's a shame what happened to Fermín. He has played in two championships and what I can say is that I feel a little guilty because I was able to speak to the under-21 coach. I'm not saying this to make excuses, but I feel very guilty about his situation, because now he is the player we need. He is very professional and the news was not good."
