Jules Koundé has established himself as the only player in the entire squad who has been 'untouchable' for Hansi Flick. The Frenchman has played every minute in the nine games played this season, being together with Robert Lewandowski the two players who have started in all these matches, although the Pole has been substituted on five occasions.

"You tell him he's not going to play!" Hansi Flick jokingly replied to a journalist when asked if the FC Barcelona '23' would be included in the rotations before last Sunday's match. Finally, the Frenchman also completed the ninety minutes of the Barça defeat in Pamplona.

Héctor Fort has not yet been a starter

Koundé's situation is completely different from that of Héctor Fort, who is the only member of the first team who has not yet been a starter. The rest of the available players in the team, not counting the temporary promotions of youth players to complete the squad, have started at least once.

The truth is that Koundé will have to rest at some point, although he is not expected to do so in next Tuesday's match against Young Boys in the Champions League. However, the question remains as to whether the youth player will take his place in the team. So far, Fort has had minutes against Girona (29'), Villarreal (9'), Getafe (2') and Osasuna (5'), so he will continue to wait for his chance against a Jules who refuses to come off the bench.
