FC Barcelona are registering players for the 2024/25 La Liga season. However, they have not yet signed Iñigo Martínez, something that Hansi Flick wants to be resolved soon

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Hansi Flick is counting on Iñigo Martínez. The German coach has made the decision to count on the defender for the 2024/25 season. The Barça board has already registered Eric García, Clément Lenglet and Ansu Fati in LaLiga, but they want the defender's situation to be resolved as soon as possible, because they want to have him in their squad for the first match of the championship.

Flick is very satisfied with the Basque's performance and is confident that he will be released for the league debut. The Biscayan will play his second season at Barça, having played the entire Joan Gamper Trophy against AS Monaco. The other two who played 90 minutes are Marc Casadó and Pau Víctor, who have also earned the approval of the German coach.

Those registered in LaLiga

In the case of Eric García, the Catalan centre-back is one of the best young players in the Blaugrana team and he ensured his continuity after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Pau Cubarsí and Fermín López. Next Saturday he will be able to play at Mestalla against Valencia in the first matchday of the League, although it is most likely that he will be a substitute.

If we talk about Clément Lenglet, who was ruled out yesterday along with Vitor Roque, having registered him is a simple formality to achieve financial fair play. This was already done last season before he left for Aston Villa on loan. The same happened with Sergiño Dest before a loan to PSV Eindhoven. The sporting management, headed by Deco, is already close to reaching an agreement for another loan for the Frenchman, with Atlético de Madrid and Villarreal being the most interested clubs. The Portuguese has already met with his agent, Grégory Dakad, at the Ciutat Esportiva to resolve his future.

Finally, as for Ansu Fati, Barça has also made arrangements with LaLiga despite his problems with the plantar fascia in his right foot that will not allow him to play on Saturday at Mestalla. The club still has two and a half weeks before the end of the transfer window to make a decision on where he will play next season. Although Flick gave him the go-ahead before preseason, things changed after his physical problems. We will soon find out if his future is in or out of Barcelona.
