Hansi Flick is determined to make history at FC Barcelona. The German coach has a plan to succeed in the culé team and it involves the La Masia players, which is why he did not want to miss the Juvenil A match against Badalona

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Hansi Flick is clear that one of his goals with the Barcelona team is to boost the youth system and give young players the opportunity to take their first steps in the first team of FC Barcelona. For this reason, he not only works with established players, but also takes the time to watch some of the matches of those who aim to be the next generation of the Blaugrana team.

On September 8, he will be present at the first home match of the Juvenil A of Barcelona against Badalona in the First Division of Honor. The visiting team is very strong and the Catalans know them well, since last season they were eliminated from the Copa del Rey by them. This match will be the debut of the new coach, Juliano Belleti, at home.

Flick bets on young talent

As we already mentioned, the coach tries to be present at some of the youth system matches and usually regularly follows Barça Atlètic at the Johan Cruyff when he has the opportunity. The Under-19s are also a very interesting team, so his appearance makes it clear that he is keeping a close eye on upcoming talent. Flick knows that La Masia is not short of talent and wants to have every opportunity he can see the players.

The German is accompanied by the member of the sporting management, Bojan Krkic and will be able to enjoy a player that he took with him on the tour of the United States. We are talking about the talented 17-year-old midfielder, Quim Junyet. Another very interesting player is the team captain, Xavi Espart, who plays on the right flank.

He is joined by 18-year-old Jan Virgili, who scored a double in the first matchday in the 0-2 victory against Huesca and who we saw training with the first team this week. This winger played for Granollers last season, being key in the promotion to the Division of Honor with 18 goals in 28 games. It would therefore not be a surprise if we saw him in more training sessions with Flick or even making his debut in a match this season. Without a doubt, Flick is earning all the plaudits in his first few months as Barcelona manager.
