Marc Casadó signed a new advertising contract this Thursday with a well-known sportswear brand. During the presentation of the agreement, the FC Barcelona midfielder opened up about his relationship with Hansi Flick and the keys to his consolidation with the first team. This season, the Catalan has already accumulated 1,647 minutes of action spread over 21 matches, being one of the 'untouchables' of the Heidelberg coach.
"When I saw the video of the argument with the German players, I was scared," said the midfielder with a laugh. In that sense, he acknowledged having experienced some tense moments with the coach. "Sometimes he has gotten angry," said the academy player, who also took the opportunity to praise the German coach. "He is a great coach who manages the locker room very well. There have been more good moments than bad ones".
Additionally, he thanked the coaching staff for the trust they have placed in him. "Joining the first team has always been a dream I had since I was little. There have been other very beautiful moments like the victories against Bayern and Real Madrid," recalled the '17' player.
Casadó trusts in a victory for Barça against Atlético
Regarding the upcoming match, the player from Sant Pere de Vilamajor made it clear the desire of the Blaugrana squad to overcome the slump in La Liga and, especially, at Montjuïc, where the team has suffered two consecutive defeats. "We know that Atlético is a team that plays with a lot of intensity and, at the very least, we have to match it", argued Casadó.
In that sense, he valued his consolidation in the first team. "It is a very long process. I have been playing football my whole life and there are moments when you feel it is closer and others when it feels further away. The most important thing is to have confidence in oneself, believe that you can achieve it and strive to the maximum to make it happen," emphasized the 20-year-old player, who also expressed his satisfaction with the comparisons to Sergio Busquets.
"It is incredible that I am compared to the best midfielders in history. Four years ago, I watched them on TV and never imagined that I would be compared to them one day, concluded the Barça academy player.
