Hansi Flick will be suspended for two matches after being sent off against Betis. The German will not sit on the bench against Leganés and Atlético Madrid
Hansi Flick suffered his first expulsion as FC Barcelona coach in the match against Betis. According to the report of the main referee, Muníz Ruíz, the German was sent off "for leaving the technical area shouting and gesturing, protesting one of the decisions" and will not manage the Blaugrana team in LaLiga again for the rest of the year.
The sanction stipulated for this type of expulsion is two games, so the Blaugrana coach will not be able to sit on the Barça bench in the matches against Leganés and Atlético de Madrid, both to be played in Montjuïc on December 15 and 21 respectively.
Flick will return against Getafe
Flick will be able to manage the team from the sidelines again in the match against Getafe on January 19, 2025, in what will be the first league match after the Christmas break. Meanwhile, Marcus Sorg, his assistant coach, will be in charge of giving orders to the players on the pitch.
However, the German will be able to sit on the Barça bench in next Wednesday's match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia in the second week of January before returning to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
