In addition, he also has no intention of leaving, something that he did consider doing in 2022. For Raphinha, his first weeks at the culé team were extremely complicated and forced him to think that Barcelona was perhaps not the place in the world where he should be.
Raphinha wanted to leave Barcelona
In a small preview of the interview on the program 'Tu diràs', on RAC1, Raphinha revealed that shortly after his arrival at Barça in the summer of 2022 from Leeds, he thought about leaving the team: "Yes, I thought about it, the first six months were complicated for me and my family. After the World Cup I improved and I was able to finish the season well. I was calmer, but the beginning was quite difficult. Adapting to the club was difficult for me," he confessed.
Right now, he feels happy with his present and grateful that all doubts have been dispelled. During this international break he will stay in Barcelona because he cannot play for Brazil due to an accumulation of yellow cards, so he will have time to rest and prepare without overloads for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
Regarding this campaign, where his team has started by winning its first four LaLiga games, achieving a perfect score, Raphinha made clear what he wants to achieve: "The minimum objective? The minimum objective is to win. The Champions League? Of course. It has to be this one. Playing for Barça makes the main objective to win all the titles: the League, the Champions League, the Cup, the Super Cup... If you are in a club like this and you don't set yourself that objective, you're in the wrong place," he concluded.
