FC Barcelona hopes to recover a key piece in the coming weeks. This Friday, Gavi trained alongside the group and could receive a medical discharge after the break
Pablo Pérez Gavira, Gavi, was the big news in FC Barcelona's return to work alongside the brand new culé reinforcement, Wojciech Szczesny. Both the midfielder and the goalkeeper trained alongside the group in the first training session prior to the duel against Alavés (Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Vitoria). Hansi Flick gave the squad two days off after the defeat of Young Boys and the group welcomed with open arms two players who will be key after the national team break.
In the case of '6', it is one more step in the final stretch of his rehabilitation, since for three weeks he has been doing some exercises with his teammates, although the physical loads have progressively increased. The one from Los Palacios and Villafranca has worked hard in recent days in the gym and is leaving very good feelings, although the club, for now, is keeping secret the date on which the footballer will receive the medical discharge. With Szczesny we also have to wait, since he hasn't played for three months and his tune-up could still take one or two weeks.
Seville and Real Madrid, two key days for Gavi's return
In that sense, the Andalusian could reappear on matchday 10 or 11 of LaLiga, just after the break. Barça will host Sevilla on October 20 and, six days later, they will go to the Santiago Bernabéu to play the first Clásico of the season. If everything goes well, the '6' could add minutes against the Seville team, although it would be more likely to see him on the squad list against Real Madrid, even if he does not manage to add minutes.
In the middle of both days of the League, the culés must receive Bayern Munich for the third day of the Champions League, another fundamental match where Hansi Flick needs to have his gala XI at his disposal. In principle, Gavi's return was expected at the end of October or beginning of November, periods that the midfielder has completed without problems. Although he is not ready to play yet, in two or three weeks he should be able to be discharged. Afterwards, the coaching staff will run it with all the necessary precautions.
