Impressive progress at FC Barcelona's Spotify Camp Nou construction site

The Spotify Camp Nou is beginning to take shape to open its doors before the end of the 2024-25 season. This was recently evidenced in an audiovisual material published by FC Barcelona, showing the progress in the renovation of the iconic Catalan stadium, whose construction started in 2022.

In the video provided by FC Barcelona, around 39,000 - 40,000 seats have been installed. It's not surprising to already see a significant part of the stands at the Spotify Camp Nou adorned in the characteristic blue and garnet colors representing the Catalan team.

Additionally, one can observe the workers and machinery being used to carry out preparatory work for the installation of the turf, such as the placement of conduits for root aeration and rainwater drainage. Work is also being done in the bench area and other interior spaces, including the changing rooms, the press room, and the player tunnel. Additionally, it's evident how the structure of the beams for the third tier is being completed, where the VIP boxes will be located.

The work is progressing well, but will it be completed in time for Barcelona to return to the Camp Nou soon?

Now we will have to see if these works at the Spotify Camp Nou, despite progressing at a relatively fast pace, are once again affected by various unforeseen circumstances (common in renovations of this magnitude), leaving the Blaugrana temple ready for May, as has been discussed. This matter might be complicated, especially considering the recent announcement that FC Barcelona has extended its stay in Montjuïc until May 20, also extending the duration of the season pass, shedding light on the Catalan team's intentions to conclude the campaign at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
