Injured
Iñigo Martínez, knocked out for 4 weeks
The Basque centre-back was injured in the Spanish Super Cup final and had to be substituted in the 28th minute of the first half by Ronald Araujo
The extent of Iñigo Martínez's injury is now public. The Ondarroa centre-back had been an undisputed starter for Hansi Flick until now, but his continuity will be put on hold. The first half hour of play in the match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona had not yet been completed when the defender fell to the ground. He could not continue and had to be substituted in the 28th minute by Ronald Araujo.
After carrying out the necessary tests, FC Barcelona published the medical statement on the defender on Tuesday morning: "The tests carried out this morning have shown that I. Martínez has a rupture of the femoral biceps of the right thigh. The approximate time he will be out will be around 4 weeks."

In this context, Hansi Flick will have to find a way to replace the experienced defender, who will be out of action for approximately a month. The squad has Eric García and Ronald Araujo as healthy centre-backs who could accompany Cubarsí. Likewise, Andreas Christensen, as the coach explained before the match against Barbastro, is almost fit. Three possible options that could be reduced with the hypothetical departure of the Martorell native to Girona and the Uruguayan to Juventus.
