Joan Laporta gave a brief speech before the final of the Supercopa de España and lashed out at LaLiga and the RFEF regarding the case of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The lead-up to the final of the Supercopa de España 2025 is heating up, and not precisely due to a rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The institutional relations between both clubs are currently in a good place, contrary to the situation between the azulgrana institution and entities like LaLiga and RFEF, who have entered into a 'war' with the club over the cases of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.

This was made clear by Joan Laporta, who in a speech delivered this Saturday threw a 'dart' regarding the registration of both players. "This Supercopa has been surrounded by controversy, which is the registration of some players, which fortunately has already been resolved and they will be available for our coach," began the president.

"We could have avoided this situation if we had applied the regulations correctly"

"But well, the fact is that it has already been resolved and they will be able to play in the final," concluded the highest authority of the blaugrana club, who, rightly so, keeps the flame alive against the continuous attacks that the entity is facing regarding the registration of its two footballers.

The final against Real Madrid

On the other hand, Laporta spoke in a different tone about the duel against Madrid, highlighting the relevance of the Clásico in the world of football. "On many occasions we have had to compete in the final of this competition against our sporting rival, and having these finals between Barça and Madrid makes them thrilling. It is a match that is played all over the world regardless of the competition in which it takes place," he stated.

"It is always an honor and a pride to face Real Madrid in a football match that will surely be thrilling like all the ones we have been celebrating for so many years that enhance and elevate football, and I insist it is played all over the world. A world-class match," he concluded.
