Undoubtedly, the attack has been the best part of FC Barcelona so far in the first half of the 2024/25 season. The team has scored 72 goals in 25 matches, with 46 of those goals scored by the starting offensive trio
FC Barcelona closed the first half of the season as the highest-scoring team in Europe. Between La Liga (51) and Champions (21), the Catalans have scored 72 goals in 25 matches, averaging 2.88 goals per game. 33% (46 goals) have come from Lamine Yamal (6), Raphinha (17), and Robert Lewandowski (23). Thus, we saw the six forwards of Barça in the first half of the 2024/25 season, a campaign in which the team has been much more offensive thanks to Hansi Flick's scheme.
Robert Lewandowski - Top Scorer
The Pole has been the team's top scorer with 23 goals in 24 matches, along with 2 assists. In La Liga, Robert started the season on fire, scoring in 8 of the first 11 rounds for a total of 14 goals. After matchday 12, his production dropped considerably, coinciding with the inconsistency of a Barça that has only won one of its last seven matches in the tournament. In the Champions League, the '9' is also the top scorer with 7 goals in 6 matches.
Lamine Yamal - Star
Without a doubt, the most decisive player for Barça in the first half of the season. Lamine is the team leader in assists, with 12 in 21 matches. Without the '19' on the field, the team generates much less danger, and both Raphinha and Lewandowski have fewer scoring opportunities. The young player has also scored 6 goals, 5 of them in La Liga. After a brilliant second half of 2024, swept all the awards for players under 21 years old.
Raphinha - Leader
The Brazilian inherited the captaincy of Barça in the absence of Ter Stegen, De Jong, and Araujo with great character, leading the team in several important matches. In just 25 matches, the '11' has already surpassed his scoring record from his previous two seasons as a Catalan, with 17 goals scored and 10 assists. Although he has gone three league matches without scoring or assisting, the Brazilian forward is the second top scorer in the tournament, with 11.
Ferran Torres - Impact Sub
The 'Shark' did not have a good start to the season, wasting several opportunities as a starter. However, between November and December, he made a difference again as Lewandowski's substitute. So far, he has 5 goals and a couple of assists in 16 matches, being the main offensive option from the bench despite suffering a couple of muscle injuries.
Pau Víctor - Residual
The former captain of the reserve team was the sensation of the preseason, scoring against City and Real Madrid. However, the tough competition for a spot in the offensive trio has minimized his participation so far, despite having Hansi Flick's trust. Pau has barely accumulated 220 minutes in 17 matches (only 1 as a starter). Despite this, he has scored 3 goals and 1 assist, but he will likely go out on loan in January.
Ansu Fati - Unknown
The '10' returned from his loan to Brighton in the summer, but once again injuries have prevented him from even fighting for a spot as a substitute. The player from Bissau has only played 158 minutes in 7 matches and his complicated situation cools the chances of finding a team in the winter market.
