Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmatí have probably become two of the most prominent figures in the world of Barcelona today. When mentioning their names, these players not only evoke talent but also bring to mind the unmistakable image of the FC Barcelona shirt.
On this occasion, both Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmatí have been distinguished by the Agrupació Barça Jugadors, the association of former players of Barcelona. This organization decided to award both emblematic figures for a successful 2023-24 season in terms of sports, also recognizing them as outstanding examples of the values that represent the Barcelona entity.
The awards ceremony, as announced by Barcelona, took place at an event attended by Juan Manuel Asensi, Pere Valentí Mora, Rafael Zuviría, and Antonio Olmo, who were present on behalf of the Agrupació. Also in attendance were the awardees, Joan Soler, director responsible for youth football, and Xavi Puig, in charge of Barça Femení.

Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmatí, two deserving winners of the 2024 Barça Jugadors Award
It is worth noting that the voting to grant this award took place last July. In this regard, in the category of the men's first team, Lamine Yamal was selected, earning his first distinction of this kind. During the 23-24 season, the right winger had a significant impact on the world elite of football, breaking several records and becoming, despite his youth, a key player in Barcelona's lineup.
