For the first time in history, the American World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) broadcast its legendary Friday Night SmackDown live in Catalonia, the event that has revolutionized the wrestling industry since 1999. The Badalona Olympic Stadium was the stage for an unforgettable evening that Lamine Yamal didn't want to miss.

The FC Barcelona youth player, in fact, stole the show at an event broadcast globally on Netflix, where he was able to spend time with WWE Champion Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, who shared a photo with the footballer on his Instagram account. "Barcelona's future is brighter than ever..." wrote the American professional wrestler in a post that, in just a few hours, surpassed 270,000 likes.

Lamine also had the luxury of posing with the WWE championship belt, a gesture that wowed the more than 13,000 spectators at the Olympic Pavilion. The Mataró native was accompanied by Héctor Fort and Alejandro Balde, capturing the attention of those in attendance and the online broadcast of the event.

The three Barça players were amazed by Randy Orton's RKO, a moment Yamal was able to record with his cell phone amid the madness on stage. Despite the persistent rain, fans accompanied the WWE stars at the hotel where they were staying from Friday morning.

The American company had brought a show to the Palau Sant Jordi in 1991, but it wasn't a televised event as part of the wrestling production company's official schedule. This weekend, WWE's European tour continues in Hanover, Germany, and Brussels, Belgium. Next week, the event will continue in Italy and the United Kingdom, before moving on to Austria and the Netherlands.
