Laporta spoke again about FC Barcelona's chances of winning the treble this season, remaining cautious, but without stopping the excitement

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona, has made another public appearance in which he spoke about the club he loves. This time, within the festive atmosphere of the Diada de Sant Jordi, the Azulgrana president appeared at a stand of the Catalan team in the center of Barcelona, where numerous Barça fans came to greet him and take photos with him.

Laporta asks for confidence and prudence in the face of the treble dream

'Jan' did not miss the opportunity to refer to the chances of winning the treble that FC Barcelona currently has. A matter that, as on previous occasions, Laporta addressed with a message of caution, appealing to go step by step. "What Barça fans have to do is trust our coach and our players. I am convinced that under the guidance of Hansi Flick and the talent that the players bring, we will have chances of winning the treble. We are playing very well, but we have not achieved anything yet. A final is a coin toss, anything can happen, but we are very confident," he said.

Despite his call for calm, Laporta did not hide the excitement generated by this possibility for the Barça club to achieve its third treble in its history. "I'm not putting on the handbrake, I'm simply saying that we haven't achieved the goals we wanted. Everything is possible and we are going to do everything possible to win. Are people excited? Let them continue like that. I invite the culers to continue like that," he pointed out.

Barcelona has its chances of winning the treble this season more alive than ever

And how not to get excited being a Barça fan? The Azulgrana team has already been proclaimed champion of the 2025 Saudi Super Cup, imposing itself with authority against Real Madrid (2-5) in Jeddah. But beyond that title, Barça continues alive in the three major competitions of the season, and in all of them with serious aspirations:

  • LaLiga EA Sports: leads with 76 points, seven more than Real Madrid (who has a pending match) with five matchdays remaining to conclude the 2024-25 season.
  • Copa del Rey: will play the final on Saturday, April 26 against Real Madrid at the La Cartuja stadium.
  • UEFA Champions League: will face Inter Milan in the semi-finals, starting on Wednesday, April 30.

A state of form that invites you to dream... with caution

This great sporting moment has been highlighted by Joan Laporta, who once again insisted on the importance of remaining calm despite the widespread enthusiasm: "I want to thank our players and a masterful coach like Hansi Flick for what they are making us enjoy. But we must be down to earth and be prudent."

The excitement to conquer the third treble in the history of the club is more alive than ever. However, 'Jan' prefers to appeal to common sense. Should Barça fans get carried away by the enthusiasm or do as their president and moderate the euphoria?
