Laporta also sent a message of reassurance regarding the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Calendar of FC Barcelona

It didn't take long for the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, to come forward with statements defending the club, after LaLiga released an informational note related to the corporate operation of the VIP Boxes at Spotify Camp Nou. In that note, it was stated, among other things, that the blue and garnet team "has neither balance nor registration capacity", after failing to account for the €100M corresponding to the mentioned operation. This amount had allowed the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, in addition to alleviating the club's issues with financial 'fair play', improving its margin regarding signings and the 1/1 rule.

The Barça president, before entering the board lunch prior to the match between Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona (return leg of the 'semis' of the Copa del Rey), did not hesitate to respond firmly to this matter. 'Jan' emphasized that the publication of this information at this moment is not a coincidence and aims to destabilize the Catalan team. "Sometimes I feel that this is not by chance. Today we are playing a final in Madrid against Atlético, which I hope will be a great spectacle. That they come out and activate controversies of this kind is not by chance. It is another attempt to destabilize our team," he asserted.

In that same vein, Laporta took a jab at those sectors that, unable to surpass Barcelona in the sporting arena, seek to do so through other means. "Sometimes I feel that what they cannot win against us on the field, they try to win in the offices," he declared.

FC Barcelona will not stand idly by in this situation

Additionally, the Barcelona president also took the opportunity to, once again and with total repudiation, express his rejection of this measure announced by LaLiga. "As president of Barça, I cannot allow this. I will continue to defend the interests of our club, in favor of our members and fans," he warned.

Finally, although he did not delve too much into the topic, Laporta acknowledged that the club is already studying the necessary measures to respond to this controversial situation. "The club will respond once the legal services have thoroughly analyzed LaLiga's statement. We will reply in the most forceful way possible in defense of the interests of FC Barcelona," he emphasized.

The registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

On another note, 'Jan' sent a message of reassurance to both Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor as well as to the members and fans. "Three months ago I already said that the registrations of Olmo and Pau Víctor had been done correctly and that we had met all the requirements set by the RFEF and LaLiga. And this remains valid," he concluded.
