Joan Laporta defends Barça and highlights Hansi Flick's work
Joan Laporta has once again appeared before the media to defend the Barça of his affections. This time, the blaugrana president, once the decision of the Superior Sports Council (CSD) regarding the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor became known, did not miss the opportunity to briefly and indirectly address the topic in his most recent public appearance. This took place during his attendance at the Palau Robert for the inauguration of the photographic exhibition 'Tant se val d'on venim', which reviews 30 years of projects from the Barça Foundation.
Before delving into any controversy, 'Jan' took advantage of the presence of the FC Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick, at the event to dedicate some heartfelt words to the German coach in his speech. He highlighted his work at the helm of the blaugrana team, emphasizing how, despite the situation in which he found the club both on a sporting and economic level, he did not hesitate to take on a huge challenge and, so far, is delivering effective results:
"Thank you very much, coach, for being here. It is a great pleasure for us the way you understand the Barça. The way you respect our club. You are doing a great job, Hansi. Everyone knows it, especially in the way you lead the team. We are more than happy to share these events with you"
Laporta and... a 'dig' at LaLiga?
After this, the 62-year-old Catalan lawyer, jokingly recalled the problems that the FC Barcelona has faced lately, including what many interpreted as a small 'dig' at LaLiga. "At Barça we have to fight against everything and everyone. That's life. And we have our mister who is already starting to suffer it. Some news comes in and he asks me: will this happen again? Look, I don't know, but we will keep fighting," he concluded.

Barça has recently had several clashes with LaLiga
It should be noted that recently, the entity presided over by Javier Tebas has had numerous clashes with the FC Barcelona. In this sense, there may be some resentment from the governing body of Spanish football regarding the decision recently announced by the Superior Sports Council, which ruled in favor of Barça by accepting the appeal filed on January 7 by the club concerning the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Thus, the Catalan team ensures that both players will be available until the end of the season without any issues. However, it has been reported that LaLiga will appeal this decision in a new attempt to impose its position.
Moreover, this has not been the only recent disagreement between Barcelona and LaLiga. It is worth recalling that recently it was also announced that the corporate operation related to the VIP Boxes of the Spotify Camp Nou, communicated by the culé team at the end of December last year and which would allow accounting for around €100 million as income in the club's Profit and Loss account, was no longer counted. This occurred after the evaluation of a quarterly report of Interim Financial Statements, in which apparently no amount from this operation is recorded in that account, contradicting what the Barcelona board had certified at the time.
According to LaLiga, this implies that Barcelona does not have the balance or capacity to register players like Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. These are issues that will undoubtedly continue to be talked about in the coming days and seem to aim to tarnish the remarkable season that the team from the City of Barcelona is having. Joan Laporta recently asserted when he commented: "That they come out and activate controversies of this type is not by chance. It is another attempt to destabilize our team".
