The FC Barcelona has fixed the terms of remodeling of the new Spotify Camp Nou, angular stone of the project Espai Barça that will have a total cost of 900 million euros. The works to charge of the Turkish company Limak Construction will begin of full in June of this year and will extend until the summer of 2026, although the first team will return to the temple culé to finals of the year entrante.
In this sense, the first stretch of the works will extend until November of 2024. The works in the stadium began the past 1 September with the demolition of the gradería Goal South and the desmontaje of the ancient videomarcador of this grandstand, works that finalised previous to the reinicio of LaLiga on 31 December. In June, once conclude the 2022/23 will initiate the most intense phase of the works, already headed by Limak.
With this, the club mudará to the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys of Montjuïc to contest the next season, a stay that will extend until November of 2024. As it explained institutional vice-president of the Barça, Maria Elena Fort, the second phase of the works will have to be list to return to the stadium on 24 November of this year, date of the anniversary 125 of the club. For then, the thickness of the works will have concluded.
From then, the works will effect in intervals to the pair of the parties of the first team, as it comes doing the Real Madrid with the works of Santiago Bernabéu. In the summer of 2025, the stadium will close again to intensify the works until the beginning of the 2025/26, last previous season to the official inauguration of the remozado temple culé in the summer of 2026, after the next Glass of the World.
The haste for clearing the remodeling
"The delivery of the work finalised has to be a reality before June of 2026", recalcó Fort the Monday after oficializarse the bidding to Limak Construction. The complex financial situation of the club and the high costs of maintenance do that the managerial try to shorten the maximum possible the terms for the execution of a work that promises to convert to the Camp Nou in a centre of total entertainment.
To fund the project, the Barça works of the hand with the groups American investors Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, since in addition to the 900 'kilos' that sues the temple culé subtract other €600m for the rest of the Espai Barça, which includes also the remodeling of the Palau Blaugrana. This work will not be executed by Limak, since the company will commission exclusively of the works in the stadium.
