Mateu Alemany has strongly questioned the refusal of the 'sacred cows' to pay cuts. The director of football considers that paying these salaries is unsustainable for the club
During the last Assembly of partners of the FC Barcelona have been varied the commonplaces tackled on the management made in the last year. As it was to expect , the subject of the 'holy cows' has been on the table; in principle, by part of the economic vice-president, Eduard Romeu, and more in detail in the case of the director of football, Mateu Alemany.
This last has remembered the situation with which found the new executive train when reviewing the once installed numbers in his functions: "When we arrive, we detect a sobreprecio generalised in the wages with regard to the price of market. They blocked our wages and the capacity of traspasar and had an effect very gravoso by the absolute blockade of LaLiga. The past season were subjected to the rule of the 1-4 ".
The 'holy cows' affect the economy of the club
Although it sustains that the Barça already has found a solution in the majority of these cases, warns that still there are some players that have not subjected to the new political salarial: "it Is true that the 75 % of these wages no longer are and follow with the philosophy to adapt the wages to the 'fair play'. These players are impossible to transfer and on the other hand tax the 'fair play'. They are wages out of market, the aim is that they disappear".
Like consequence, the club could not inscribe in his moment to Jules Koundé, what carried to take new measures in front of the posture that had adopted the patronal: "With 867 million euros of crowbars, LaLiga said us that it was not sufficient to inscribe to Koundé, so it was necessary to endorse. The president of the Barça does not agree with the interpretation of the 'fair play' of LaLiga".
However, it has indicated that there is not any type of planned strategy to proceed against the body chaired by Javier Thebes, since they do not have the faculty to do it, further to urge them to review his methods: "we will work to convince to LaLiga that has some conditions too restrictivas. We have not posed us any action. They would not prosper because LaLiga has the faculty to interpret the norms of the fairplay financial".
Although in any moment there has been a specific quotation on these players, everything would indicate that it treats of Gerard Hammered, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, as well as other players with high index cards, like Frenkie of Jong or Marc-André Ter Stegen, cases that the Barcelona directive will have to evaluate and resolve what before to adjust to the 'fair play financial'.
