Barça prepares for the match against Osasuna with the return of Araujo and Raphinha.
The FC Barcelona breathes a sigh of relief. Concern and uncertainty had taken hold of the Catalan city in recent days due to the scandalous decision by the RFEF to set Thursday, March 27, for the match between the culés and Osasuna, postponed due to the unfortunate passing of doctor Miñarro. A date on which two key players for the team, Ronald Araujo and Raphinha, were initially not expected to be available due to their international commitments with Uruguay and Brazil, respectively.
However, good news comes from the offices of Spotify Camp Nou this Saturday, March 22. Despite both players' participation in the match against the rojillos being practically ruled out, Hansi Flick could indeed have the center-back and the forward at his disposal for this duel, at least to be included in the squad and be an option from the bench.
According to 'SPORT', the idea of the azulgrana entity is for Araujo and 'Rapha' to return to Spain along with the rest of South American internationals playing for Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid (Giménez, Valverde, Nahuel Molina, De Paul, Ángel Correa, Julián Álvarez, Endrick, and Vinicius) on a private plane from Buenos Aires.
The Barça plan with Araujo and Raphinha
Both the Uruguayan team and the 'verdeamarela' will play their matches against Bolivia and Argentina, respectively, next Tuesday, March 25. The Uruguayan match will take place a few hours before the South American classic, so Ronald will have a considerable amount of time to travel to the neighboring country, where the flight to Madrid is expected to take off.
If all timelines of the roadmap stipulated by the Barça are met, Araujo and Raphinha would arrive in the Catalan city on Wednesday afternoon-evening. Although they will not have been able to train with the rest of the group in the last session, all indications suggest they will be included in Flick's list and will watch the match from the sidelines. In fact, if the match requires it, they could even see minutes in the second half.
On the other hand, although 'Rapha', who scored and assisted in Brazil's victory over Colombia, is expected to play a leading role in the match against the albiceleste due to his indisputable role, there is a strong possibility that the Uruguayan coach, Marcelo Bielsa, will choose to release the center-back ahead of the match in La Paz as a precaution after the player's recent physical issues, which would allow him to advance his flight to Barcelona and be available for the team in perfect physical condition against Osasuna. The final decision will be known in the coming hours.
